Summary

The goal of the Challenges in Computer Science seminar is to improve understanding and communication between students and computer science researchers. Invited speakers give overviews of their research fields and students interview and give presentations of research done at LIACS.

Grading

- No Exam
- Attendance, Assignments, and Discussion are mandatory.
- Students must be present at 11 (or more) of the 13 class meetings.

Interviewing Groups

Each group of students should interview the specified research faculty member and prepare a 15-20 minute Powerpoint presentation to show to the class on the specified date in April. Contact the faculty member by email first and setup a mutually agreeable time and place. If there is no response in a week, then email again and try alternate contact methods. If email and phone do not work within 2 weeks, please talk to Michiel Helvensteijn about a substitute.
