Research interests
Application drivers
Starting from a high level problem specification, which is as close as possible to the mathematical formulation, an application driver generates automatically an efficient program/code for a real-word large-scale application targeted to an user specified (high performance) computer architecture.
3D computer graphics
The applicability of virtual reality/scenery to present complex information (e.g., weather forecasts) in innovative, alternative ways, by which the information becomes more according to the world of one's experience.
Computational science
The modeling and simulation of (scientific) problems on (high performance) computer platforms, which should result in new unknown insights. From a computer science point of view this means to contribute to achieve the most efficient implementation of the specific problem.
Grid Computing
Quantum Computing
Other interests
Travel, castles, beer, restaurants.
