Research Interests

Modelling of vertebrate development, using various techniques. Work is being done on 1) 3D visualisation of heart development in the turtle species Emys orbicularis, 2) process modelling and analysis, using Petri nets, of the AP-axis formation in the frog Xenopus laevis and 3) building a dynamic ontology of the anatomy, physiology and development of the vertebrate heart.
