My name is Edgar
H. de Graaf
born in Schagen on
the 29th of November 1979
, but
I lived in Maarssen for the most part of my life.
In 1998 I began with my four year study Informatica on the
HBO of
Utrecht. In 2002 I completed this study in time and I have chosen to
continue
with a two year master on the
university
of
Utrecht
. I have completed my
master in 2004
with a thesis about improving trading agent performance with machine
learning.
Now I am doing my PhD in
Leiden
on the subject of
mining
semi-structured databases, the MISTA Project.
Research &
Related Activities
- PhD on the NWO sponsored
MISTA project. This project deals with data mining in
semi-structured data.
- Member of the IPA PhD Council.
Teaching
- Assisting during a first
year course on C++-programming: [Dutch] Programmeermethoden, in 2004.
- Assisting during a third
year course on AI, in 2005.
- Again C++ programming in 2005.
