CIVR 2003 - Overview

As digital imagery and video become prevalent, it will be necessary to have effective methods and paradigms to browse, share, and search for visual content. With the support and cooperation of the IEEE and IEE, we seek to illuminate the state of the art in image and video retrieval between researchers and practitioners throughout the world.

The International Conference on Image and Video Retrieval (CIVR) aims to provide an international forum for the discussion of challenges in the fields of image and video retrieval. A unique feature of the conference is the high level of participation from practitioners. Applications papers and presentations suitable for a wide audience are therefore particularly welcome.

The proceedings of CIVR2003 have been published by Springer in their Lecture Notes in Computer Science series vol 2728.
