My name is Bart Thomee, and I'm a PhD candidate at Leiden University.
Currently, my work focuses on multimedia information retrieval in various forms, e.g. content-based and keyword-based image retrieval and visual exploration of image collections. My goal is to develop technologies that make searching for multimedia a much better experience.
I have wildly varying research and technology interests, although they are generally in the domain of multimedia. They include amongst others: image processing, video summerization, multiplayer networking, peer-to-peer networking and streaming audio and video techniques.
Take a look at the projects section to discover what I'm currently working on and what I've done in the past, or go to the publications section for a list of my scientific articles.
