Graduation Procedure
The formal date of graduation is the date on which you have met all the requirements of the ICT in Business program. This date is recorded in your transcripts and also on your diploma. This date coincides with the date on which you have received a satisfactory grade for the last, required component of your approved program of study.
Master’s Graduation Ceremony and Application for the Master’s Graduation
Students who are close to graduation can apply for participation in the Master’s Graduation Ceremony. The Graduation Ceremony takes place five times a year in the Academic Building, Rapenburg 70. In this ceremony you will receive the MSc in ICT in Business diploma from the Board of Examiners. Friends and family are welcome to witness this formal and festive occasion.

Application Procedure
Students who are close to graduation, apply for the Master’s Graduation Ceremony in the following way:
- Contact Judith Havelaar (Program Co-ordinator) who will verify that you have met (or soon will meet) the requirements of your approved program of study.
- At the latest five weeks before the date you choose for the graduation ceremony, submit your application to Mrs. Bertie ten Hove by providing her with cover page of the Master Thesis. Mrs. Bertie ten Hove is the secretary of the Educational Centre (Dutch: Educatief Centrum, Gorlaeus Laboratorium, room HB206, opening hours: Monday-Thursday 10.00-15.00hrs.)
- Check your personal information (name and date of birth) in uSis. This is important because the diploma is based on these data.
- Hand in a hard copy and an electronic version of your Master Thesis to Judith Havelaar.
At the latest five weeks before your chosen date of the Master's Graduation Ceremony, all examination results should be handed in by the lecturers to Mrs. B. ten Hove of the Educational Centre (including the grades for your master's thesis or other projects or course work).
The Thesis Defense
The thesis defense (which will take about one hour) will be organized separately, you can reserve a room for your defense in the Snellius building via Abdel El Boujadayni.The date of your thesis defense should be at least 25 working days before the graduation. Otherwise, the date for the defense can be scheduled in cooperation with your thesis supervisors. The members of your examination committee (present at thesis defense) should get a paper copy of your final version of the thesis at least 5 working days before your thesis defense.
